It was pretty cold today, say 4 degrees, but Ford and I ventured out to the MN Zoo in Apple Valley. The Hennepin County (where we live) Library system has a neat program where you can "check-out" passes to local museums and attractions, so we got to visit the zoo for free! We went to the dolphin show - which Ford really enjoyed. We did have to sit for about 25 minutes before it started to make sure we had a seat, but Ford did really well. He liked their "jumping" and "splashing." We also checked out the Discovery Cove area and the Tropics Trail - all indoors. We just didn't go out to any of the outdoor trails because it was so cold. Actually the Monorail and the Northern Trail were closed due to the windchill. BRRR! We had a fun few hours and Ford was asleep by the time we were about a mile outside of the zoo. I would say it was a good trip!
